The Cambs West Events team are pleased to offer a Brownie sleepover at Gulliver’s Land, Milton Keynes!
When: Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 September 2025
Cost: £85 for Brownies and £35 for adults
This will be a large-scale event and is open to all Brownie units in the County, a Going Away With Girlguiding qualification is not required to attend. However, there is a limit on the total number that can be accommodated which is dictated by the space available at Gulliver’s Land.

The cost of the sleepover is £85.00 for Brownies and £35.00 for adults, this includes coach travel, all food (evening meal on Saturday, breakfast and packed lunch on Sunday), evening activities on Saturday, overnight accommodation in the theme park (sleeping mat and sleeping bag required), an activity on Sunday morning, the remainder of the day to enjoy the rides in the park and an event badge. Coach pick up times and locations will be confirmed when all bookings have been made and paid for. Please note that some of the rooms to be used for sleeping do not have indoor toilets but are located near to park toilet facilities. At the event there will only be Brownies and leaders from Cambs West staying overnight in the park.
To allow as many Brownies to attend as possible there is a limit of 2 adults per unit, unless additional adults are required to maintain the required ratio of 1 : 6.

More information
Do you have a letter I can share with my parents to gain interest from the Brownies?
Yes you can share the letter we have provided which can be downloaded here.
There will also be template consent forms and health forms available nearer the time
Do we need to submit a REN?
Each unit attending will need to complete a REN part 2, a template form based on the event REN will be provided to units attending. There will be an event risk assessment provided. Unit leaders will need to set up their own home contact and the details of the home contact will be required by the event organiser.
Do we need to bring our own first aider?
There will be an event First Aider available, but leaders are responsible for managing first aid within their unit including administering routine medicines. Template health forms will be provided.
Can the Brownies go on all the rides?
There are height restrictions on some of the rides at Gulliver’s Land, leaders should check the Gulliver’s web site for details and plan how to get the most out of the day in the park with their girls.
Can young leaders attend? How much does it cost?
Young leaders can attend but as they are under 18 they will need to pay the young member rate of £85. Please make sure you order the 'young leader ticket' on the website when booking.
I have a Brownie due to move to Guides in July / September can they come?
No the event is open to Brownies only.
I have a Brownie with additional needs who has a 1:1. Can they attend?
Yes of course. Adults in a 1:1 role need to have a '1:1 adult helper' ticket booked for them on the website. Adults providing 1:1 support will still need to pay for their place. The adult rate is discounted for all leaders including those who are acting as carers.
The Brownie they are supporting will also need to have a 'Brownie ticket' booked for them on the website with the other Brownies from the unit.
I am a leader / unit helper. Can I bring my daughter who a member of Girlguiding? Can I bring other children?
This is an event intended for Brownies only.
We cannot accommodate any male children. There are height limitations on several of the rides at Gulliver's which make them unsuitable for very small children. If your unit would be unable to attend unless a leader's child/ren attended please contact the event organiser to discuss the specifics of your case. Any leaders children would need to be counted within adult : child ratios and would therefore take Brownie places at the event.
Is there a minimum numbers of girls that can attend from a unit?
No but less than 6 Brownies will only need to be joined by one leader.
Can we make our own travel arrangements? Or just come for the day?
Travel should be with the coaches laid on by county as this cost is factored into the event price.
Gulliver's land is open to the public so you could bring your unit for the Sunday. However you would need to arrange your own entry tickets and transport. The event organiser would need a copy of your emergency contact details for the day to have a record of who from the county is on site.
What times and locations will the coaches leave?
Coach pick up times and locations are not yet known and will be set by the coach company once we know which units are attending the event. Arrival time at Gulliver's is scheduled for 5.00pm so pick ups are likely to start from 3.00 pm.
